COVID Dispatches: Day 5

We’re feeling fine, well loved and cared for.

The girls ordered a couple of deliveries for us: flowers and ice cream.

Raychel went grocery shopping and dropped the bags off at our door.

Kurt & Meghan brought over chicken noodle soup, a humidifier, and a birthday cake for Linda – very thoughtful, since I couldn’t do that on Thursday.

Our Bible study leaders brought us everything for Frito Chili Pie and a loaf of artisan bread.

No fevers to report. There was a small number of coughs and sniffles, but not as much as a standard day of allergies.

Linda’s energy level is normal for her – 12 on a 10-point scale. I was a little lethargic today. I felt better once I actually got up and walked around and stretched a bit.

We did manage to scare ourselves overnight. We both decided we weren’t breathing well and it got in our heads a bit. To the extent that I actually called 911 and had paramedics come and check us out. Everything was good, so we didn’t have to go with them. We moved to the living room and kept an eye on each other and each got some sleep. We expect to sleep much better tonight.
