About

I’m a data nerd, a lifelong baseball fanatic, a husband (33 years and counting), a father of 3 grown daughters, a Methodist, a Texan (not native, but lived here all but 18 months of the past 40 years), and a credit union guy – 30 total years at 2 credit unions. I’ve managed IT departments, helped start a software development subsidiary, and built (with a lot of support) a Data Analytics department.

As I type this (December 2021), I’m about 4 months away from retirement. Also, my default setting is the shy, retiring type, although I can play other roles. Thus, the name of this site, The Retiring Data Dude.
